Regina:

We had a blast playing in Regina last weekend. We have always loved O'Hanlons, however, hanging out/playing at The German Club was right up our leisure-activity-loving alley.

Thursday, November 22, 2012

We have more HAG shirts printed! They are $15 each or $20 with a copy of one of our albums.

We will be playing in Regina Friday November 30th at O'Hanlon's with The Wildmen. Also we are hosting a pancake breakfast the next morning at The German Club. See the FB invite HERE.

Also you can download this track for FREE of ours:

It's almost our third year anniversary. That's three years of 'Haggin out. Holy!

lately

Thanks for the support everyone.

We had a wonderful time out east. We feel very lucky to be able to leave the prairies and still have successful shows.

We've uploaded an album on Facebook of our travels. You can check it out HERE.

We are officially sold out of our HAG shirt as well. We will be getting some more printed sometime in the next month or so as well as getting our new CD printed in better cases. We play Moose Jaw Summerfest Sunday August 19th at 3:45 pm. Other than that, we are going to lay low for 6 weeks or so and work on some new material. We are planning on playing Calgary and Edmonton in October as well as Regina.

And we play Co-op Fest on November 2nd at The Odeon.

Take care. Enjoy the rest of your summer. Some of us 'Hags will be adventuring out to rural Saskatchewan to work on a potato farm for harvest!

Planet S

look what Craigy S wrote about us last issue of Planet S Magazine:

Seahags: what a great name. Thankfully, the music behind the name is just as sweet. Well, maybe ‘sweet’ ain’t the right word. More like boot-stompin’, rootin’ tootin’, heart-breakin’ and ass-wuppin.’ Their EP Gospelexplores the powerful sounds of gospel music, without paying too much attention to the religious notions behind it. Sure, you’ve heard some of these traditional sounds before, but by adding haggard, fuzzy guitars and embracing the straight-up personality inherent in gospel music, they’ve truly made it their own.

Kisses!

Listen to this song (soooo good):

Saturday, May 19, 2012

We finished recording our full-length today!
It's ten songs and should be released in July.

lazy'n

We have one more day in the studio to get vocals down and then we are finished recording our full length. We are aiming for a July release so we can bring it across the country with us. We pool all our money we get from playing gigs to pay for our recording costs. Kayla is our treasurer. Our next goal is to buy a band vehicle (we out grew our mint-green 90's minivan). So if anyone has any leads on something that will drive across the country, fit 6 of us with all of our gear, let a 'Hag know.

the new banjo:

no more whale sounds!

pictures

I sometimes use my Dad's old Nokia camera from the 80's (the same one that shot all my family photos). I like how grainy the photos can look, but most of all I love the pictures that don't quite turn out or the photos that don't develop right:

The photos were taken at our video shoot. You can see the video HERE.

la radio

(taken Saturday night at OMFEST in the photobooth)

We will be on CFCR this evening from 5:00-5:30 pm talking about the CFCR sponsored event for International Women's Day tomorrow. You can listen live to us on 90.5 fm in Saskatoon or via the interwebs at www.cfcr.ca. More information / details on the event on Thursday HERE.

on the news!

Riki did a great job representing us on the news this week. We had some friends PVR it, so hopefully we can get some video evidence of it. She sang our song 1984 acoustically as well.

We've been sitting on the recorded version of this song for a few months now and haven't uploaded it, but here it is (in rough demo form):

did you get your tickets yet?

A huge thank you to OMINOCITY for supporting the local music scene! Come out and celebrate this Saturday.

We're on from 7:40-8:05 pm. Check out extra info HERE.

Tuesday, February 14, 2012

We finally got around to uploading all the tracks to our gospel album for you to listen to.

Also, we've added a new track called It Ain't Easy that we recorded back in October with local heart throb STEVE REED. You can find that one HERE.

And we are #2 on our local radio's community chart this week! woooooot!

We are playing at The Bassment March 8th in celebration of International Women's Day with our favourite radio station CFCR. Tickets are $10, doors at 7 pm and show is from 8-11pm. All the proceeds are going to the Elizabeth Fry Society of Saskatchewan.
